The idea to form an European Association for Behavior Analysis was launced at an informal meeting at the 4th International Congress on Behaviourism and the Science of Behaviour in Seville, 1998.

Meeting in London, 1999
The discussions on the establishment of an European Association for Behavior Analysis continued at the EABG Conference in London, 1999 (Hughes, 2007)

Fergus Lowe, Wales, Chair of EABA
The meeting at the EMEAB IV Conference in Amience, France appointed Professor Fergus Lowe to serve as the initial Chair of the European Association

European Journal of Behavior Analysis (EJOBA) is published by Taylor & Francis group in collaboration with the Norwegian Association for Behavior Analysis. Published articles, as well as information to subscribers, authors and others are now to be found at:http://www.tandfonline.com/loi/rejo. The first issue of tEJOBA was published spring 2000.

2016 Award winners
The selection committee agreed on granting this year‘s awards to: 1) Anastasia Salma, a PhD student in Panteion University in Greece. Ms. Salma’s dissertation research is a conceptual and theoretical analysis of the effects of differential reinforcement of variability (VAR) schedules that emerged in an analysis of failures to generate desired levels of variability in autistic children. Ms. Salma will use the award to purchase experimental equipment, including a computer. 2) Ruth Kopperud, MA student at Oslo and Akershus University College. Ruth’s research focuses on methods to teach discrimination between benign and malignant melanoma. Ms Kopperud will use the award to get professional artists to design the necessary stimuli to be used in the discrimination training.
