1966 marked the first year that a portable dental unit was sent out. The first unit was sent to Africa.
Governor Hatfield spoke at the Newberg Rotary Club. This was one of the most successful events of the year with attendance form Rotarians and community members.
Scott Leavitt Day was celebrated in honor of the man known as "Mr. Rotary."

During the presidency of Stew Harris, the Newberg Club participated in the Group Study Exchange Program for the first time. Newberg Rotartians hosted young businessmen from Finland.

During Ken Austin's presidency the Newberg Rotary Foundation is established. The Foundation is a non-profit organization which allows people to make tax deductible donations. Foundations money goes to scholarships and other community needs.

The Newberg Rotary Club began assisting the Three Squares program as they provided meals for senior citizens.
