I tried to keep a record of each show we did, how much money we were paid, and how much I kept after expenses in parentheses.;xNLx;It's interesting to note how quickly the band started once we began booking gigs. It was full throttle building over the course of the summer of 1979; by the time the summer ended, three of us (Carl, Dave, and I) had decided to keep Brave Combo as our only means of employment. At an average $120 split four ways per wedding, one can see how little it took for us to get by in the old days of Denton!
