New genres have developed such as house music, dupstep, etc. Artists nowadays include Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Fun, Adele, One Direction, Flo Rida, and the list goes on. The whole generation of music has led to our modern day pop and alternative music. Because of the rise of clubbing and partying, music that are popular these days tend to be more upbeat and dance like.
