•The first mentions about the game using feet and a ball came from China. 2.000 years ago, one of the most well-known games was called CUJU (“pushing with foot”), it was a part of the mandatory programme of the soldiers’ physical training.
•The similar mentions of the games can be founded in the written sources of the Ancient Greece, called “battle for the ball”.
•Nearly 1500, in Italy, the similar game became popular.It was called «calcio».Once widely played, the sport is thought to have started in the Piazza Santa Croce in Florence. Therefore, it became known as the giuoco del calcio fiorentino ("Florentine kick game") or simply calcio; which is now also the name of football association in the Italian language.
•About 1840, students of the British private schools invented a game,reminding modern football game.

•"The most unruly" match in the history of football took place in the UK in November 3, 1969. The teams of the Thongam Youth Club and Howe fought so violently for the local cup that the arbiter had to punish all 22 players, including one sent to the hospital, and even the judge on the line.
•The longest football game had been played on August 1-3, 1981 by two Irish teams of the football club "Kallinafersi" in Kerry. The winner team was appeared only after ... 65 hours and a 1 minute.
• In 1998, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo a lightning struck in the field during a football match. All 11 players of the guest team were killed, 30 spectators were burned, but all players of the home team remained unharmed.
•On October 1, 2016, on the 59th minute of the match between Vicenza and Virtus Entella Christian Galano received the first green card in the history of football for using fair play rules
