The rich history of the GAA is steeped in Irish culture and Irish consciousness. The events in its history mirror that of the country. Obviously there are many events that could be added to the Timeline - why not suggest some.

McNamee commission on the gaa report
The report of the Commission on the GAA was published with far reaching implications for the administration of the Association. The Commission was to investigate all aspects of the affairs of the Association and was established in 1969. The report radically modernised the way the Association organised its structures.
