The Advent of Television to Australia, is an interactive education resource. The project is run by Dr Marc C-Scott a senior lecturer in Screen Media at Victoria University.;xNLx;;xNLx;The project uses online media tools, including the National Library of Australia's Trove Database, to present historical information and media associated with the early development of television in Australia. ;xNLx;;xNLx;The information is presented with a focus on television in Australia prior to its official inauguration during 1956. The timeline displays information relating to influential individuals, institutions, public demonstrations and the government.;xNLx;;xNLx;A special thanks to the Royal Television Society who supported this project through the Shiers Trust Grant. Also to Victoria University that have supported this project.
