Howard Sulkin appointed Dean

Dr. Sulkin co-developed SNL and served as Dean until 1977. He later was President of Spertus College.

SNL opens first DePaul suburban campus.

DePaul's first suburban Chicago location, known as the O'Hare campus, was initially in Park Ridge, Illinois.

First SNL students graduate.

Hilary Anderson Steinhaus and Sherrie Hildebrandt were the first DePaul students to graduate through SNL.

Marilyn Stocker appointed Dean

Dr. Stocker was formerly Associate Dean.

David Justice appointed Dean.

After serving at SNL, David Justice went on to serve as DePaul's first Vice President of Lifelong Learning.

SNL offers 1st Competence-based masters in the US

The MA in Integrated Professional Studies (later renamed Applied Professional Studies) was the first of its kind, offering a model for alternative graduate business and administrative education.

This model allowed students to take classes toward their degree on Saturdays.

Bridge Program Initiated with Truman College

This program offers team-taught classes and support for City College of Chicago students who wish to transition to DePaul.

The Certificate of Merit from the National Academic Advising Association recognized exemplary advising for adult students

This expansive campus is associated with the research and development facilities of BP.

These initial courses are created by faculty interested in harnessing the possibilities of the Internet.

At the invitation of the International Bank of Asia, SNL offered the undergraduate degree program onsite to employees who planned further education through DePaul's MBA program.

Periodically, degree requirements are reviewed for relevance in meeting the needs of an educated adult.

SNL was recognized by the Council for Adult and Experiential Education and the American Productivity and Quality Center for the individualize education of non-traditional students.

As one of the first DePaul initiatives to support online learning, the CDE is later renamed SNL Online.

SNL offers graduate degree in Bangkok

Elementary and secondary educaiton teachers at St. Gabriels College in Bangkok began the first of several clusters of students.

This program is designed for students in the field who want to deepen their understanding of technology and its interaction with business.

SNL launches degree in Nairobi, Kenya

In partnership with Tangaza College, SNL designed a competence degree for students assuming leadership roles in African religious institutions and social service organizations.

After working with SNL, All Hallows College in Dublin launches a competence-based degree program for adults.

These accelerated, inter-disciplinary 2-year programs offer majors in Leadership Studies, Applied Behavioral Sciences and Professional Communications Studies.
