Over the last 5 years Save the Children's global campaign has worked in countries all over the world to tackle preventable child deaths and to protect mothers and children during childbirth. This timeline is a celebration of that campaign, and highlights some of the key events and achievement that have taken place around the world.

On October 5th we launched our global campaign to save children’s lives, EVERY ONE, with a new report – The Next Revolution – which was released in over 40 countries.

Free healthcare in Sierra Leone

After strong campaigning by Save the Children and partners, Sierra Leone abolished healthcare fees for pregnant women and children.
