We participate in multiple off-campus interview consortiums with other law schools in early fall. Various Symplicity sites are used and are updated on the Important Dates Chart and emailed as they become available.
Symplicity is the main tool used by the career services office to manage student information regarding job interests including; practice area, geographic preference, summer employment history, resumes, cover letters, judicial clerkship interest, and contact information
It is essential you maintain an updated resume in Symplicity. Please check events in Symplicity and participate in available programming.
“Bidding” means selecting employers to whom you want to submit your resume materials. The Fall OCI season is divided into sessions, and employers are assigned to sessions depending on when they interview on-campus. Beginning with each bid opening date, you will be able to indicate which employers with whom you are interested in interviewing.

Practice. As with any new skill you need practice. Mock interviews can be scheduled with JD Advisors and with attorneys in most cities. Contact your JD advisor or the career services office careerservices@wulaw.wustl.edu to schedule at least one interview before second semester begins.

This site is the nation’s largest clearinghouse for government and public interest jobs, as well as helpful background information on public interest careers and fellowship opportunities.

Many larger law firms meet with candidates during the summer if the candidates are living in the city. Firms in major markets may start making offers before many interview programs and job fairs start in July and August.
