Thurgood began attending Lincoln University in Pennsylvania.
Thurgood married the love of his life, Vivian Burey. They married during his last year of college.
After his graduation from Linclon University in 1930, he began attending law chool at Howard University in Washington D.C. He was passionate about being a lawyer.
Thurgood graduated AGAIN! This time from the Howard University Law School in 1933. He graduated at the top of his class.
He won his first courtroom victory by helping Donald Murray, an African-American student, win the right to attend an all white law school; the same school that had denied Thurgood.
Thurgood Marshall won the very famous Brown v/s Board of Education of Topeka that ended the "seperate but equal" law of the land.
After years as a successful lawyer and as a federal judge, President Lyndon B. Johnson appointed Thurgood to the highest court in the land, United States Supreme Court. He was the first African-Amerian to hold this position.
