Starting in 2000, mass media was classified in "seven mass media" classifications. (Prints, Recordings, Cinema, Radio, Television, Internet, & Mobile Phones). We live in a media-saturated world and rely on a variety of old and new media for information, entertainment, and connection.
The media effect for this time period that we found is the Uses and Gratification Model. This model argues that people use the media to satisfy various emotional desires or intellectual needs.
