Labor Day is celebrated on the first Monday in September to honor people who work.
On September 11, 2001 terrorists stole planes and attacked the United States. On this day we remember the victims.
Columbus Day is celebrated the second Monday in October to honor Christopher Columbus who landed in America or "the new world."
On October 31st children dress up in costumes, go trick or treating, and carve pumpkins.
Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11th to honor Veterans, or those who have fought for our country.
Thanksgiving is celebrated the fourth Thursday in November. The first Thanksgiving was held by the Pilgrims, but is now a tradition for many family's to eat dinner together and be thankful.
Pearl Harbor Day is on December 7 to help us remember the people who died in 1941 when Pearl Harbor was attacked.
Christmas is celebrated on December 25th by Christians to celebrate Jesus Christ's birthday. Some families celebrate with traditions such as gift giving and decorating a Christmas tree.
