The seniors celebrate the first matrix match victory by hosting a themed party based on the board game Clue. They posed for a photo shoot and uploaded costumed pictures to Facebook.
Since this practice fell on Halloween, the team celebrated by scrimmaging in costume.

GW plays Mary Washington in a pre-season away game. Mike Harrington, a long-time Mary Washington fan, is at the game. He has been photographing Mary Washington since 2004, and is kind enough to share the photos with the team.
GWWRFC is playing an intra-team scrimmage when Mark Judge, from Georgetown, happens to pass by. He asks permission to take pictures and film, and sends the team "Lincoln Scrum".
GW visits Charlottesville to participate in the Virginia Women's Invitational Tournament. Team pictures are updated to Facebook for fans to follow.
GW junior Stephanie De Lancey created a video and wrote an article about the team's journey to nationals as part of a class assignment. “The passion these girls have for this sport and this team, will carry us through any type of obstacle that could be thrown in our way. The GW Hatchet covers the women's rugby team before its Mid-Atlantic playoff qualifier against Delaware. Club president Jaime Albarelli is quoted as saying, “They’re a good team, but if we play well and hard, we should beat them."

GW (#12) took on Winona State (#5) in the first round of Sweet 16s. The team lost in what would be the closest match of all games played in Ohio that weekend, 25-12.
