Pridi Banomyong International College was hosting the international conference " ASEAN Community: Challenges, Problems and Prospects", February 22, 2013, Sriburapha Auditorium. Dr.Surin Pitsuwan , Former ASEAN Secretary General, was the keynote speaker.

Agreement Signing Ceremony between PBIC and GSE

On August 13, 2013, the signing ceremony of Agreement between Pridi Banomyong International College (PBIC), Thammasat University represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimpan Vessakosol – Dean of PBIC and Graduate School of Economics (GSE), Kyoto University represented by Prof. Dr. Kazuhiro Ueta – Dean of GSE was held under the witness of representatives from both institutions.

GSE-PBIC Workshop 2013

On August 16, 2013, Pridi Banomyong International College was hosting the student workshop called “GSE-PBIC Workshop”. With the initiation of Graduate School of Economics (GSE)- Kyoto University, all Kyoto University students gave presentations on their research themes with the lively discussion from PBIC scholars and ASEAN Studies students.

Special Lectures from Leading Figures in Thailand and Japan

During the first semester of academic year 2013, ASEAN Studies program had the great honour and privilege to welcome many leading figures in Thailand and Japan giving special lectures to our MA students including Dr. Tej Bunnag, Prof. Dr. Charnvit Kasetsiri, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prapat Thepchatree, Assit. Prof. Dr. John Lambino (Kyoto University) and Ms. Naoko Katano (Kyoto University).

The two-month Intensive course with JASSO scholarship 2013

During the 2013 academic year, regarding the cooperation project between Pridi Banomyong International College, Thammasat University and the Graduate School of Economics, Kyoto University, our graduate students (Mr. Jae Ho Han from Korea, along with Mr. Apiwat Kamolwattananisa and Mr. Anan Krudphet from Thailand) have great opportunities to study the two-month intensive course (with the transfer credit system) at the Graduate School of Economics, Kyoto University, Japan. They are granted the Japan Students Services Organization (JASSO) scholarship provided by the GSEs, Kyoto University.
