Federal 'clock' is ticking on UO response

Was the university taking too long to investigate the student's complaint? The school later indicates it knew what would and wouldn't be acceptable to the Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights. "OCR reports a typical university investigation takes approximately 60 calendar days following the receipt of a complaint. The UO took action well within the typical timeframe for such investigations." The school took action against the players 52 days (April 30) after receiving the initial complaint (March 9).

This data-tool, for internal use only, includes the most up to date APR average for the Ducks, and allows administrators and coaches to compare UO’s stats to other schools.

The "APR Bump" predictions may be money in the bank this time next year for coaches and the AD. Their contracts all include cash bonuses tied to high APR scores, in some cases more than what they'd get paid for their first NCAA tournament win. After last year's numbers came out in May, a KATU public records request turned up the pay outs given to Coach Altman ($20k) and his staff. Athletic Director Rob Mullens earned the most ($40k) for bringing up the school-wide average score.
