Stubenrauch & Associates prepared Facilities Study Update. Recommendations: ~ Consider Hampden use (expenses & fragmented 3rd & 4th grades) ~ Fuller Street at capacity. Consider renovation. ~ Convert Dickason classroom as computer lab. ~ Remodel Dickason shop area. ~ Improve high school science lab equipment, energy conservation, building upkeep. ~ Flooring and ceiling replacement at all buildings. ~ Needed maintenance expenditures (not including asbestos removal) for all buildings. Includes re-lighting projects, window replacements. ~ Recommend adoption of formal long range plan. ~ All day Kindergarten program would impact capacities. ~ Dickason needs expanded IMC.

Strategic Planning Committee

Strategic Planning Committee consisting of 34 community members was formed. Task was to identify fundamental beliefs of the district and strengths and weaknesses. The committee developed mission statement and four long-range strategic goals. Second phase included development of specific action plan for goals and creation of action teams consisting of 10-15 people each. Third phase implementation of approved action plans.
