Daisy Lee Bates was the organizer of The Little Rock Nine. She started the little rock nine because she wanted to be apart of school integration. Daisy learned that people were very unfair, so she tried to end that.
James Meredith was born on June 25, 1933 in Kosciusko, Mississippi. He attended an all black school during his elementary time. He wanted to attend an all white college for a better education. James was the first black man to attend an all white college. James is still alive today and owns a car business.
Elizabeth Eckford was one of the Little Rock Nine. Elizabeth was the girl who could not communicate with Daisy Bates so she went alone. Elizabeth was surrounded by many white saying to keep schools White and blacks stay out. Elizabeth is still alive today and lives in Arkansas.
She was born in Topeka, Kansas. Linda's Father was the person who filed the lawsuit that became Brown vs Board of Education. Linda attended an all white school after the lawsuit. Linda is still living in Topeka, Kansas with a happy family.
Linda Brown went to an all black school. Her father wanted her to go to an all white school, so he created a lawsuit so his daughter and other black students could go to all white schools.
She was born in Tylertown, Mississippi. She knew little about the fear going on. She knew that she wanted to be part of the race for freedom. Bridges chose to play a part in the school integration. Ruby wanted to join the school integration and be the first black girl to be accepted to an all white school.
The Little Rock Nine were a group of nine black students who wanted to integrate an all white school. Daisy Bates the organizer wanted nine students to be the first to integrate an all white high school.
On this day segergation ended. It ended when JFK heard about this conflict in the news and wanted to stop because even he thought it was unfair.
