The spotted lake adventure

So the other day we went to spotted lake in the British Colombia area. A elder told us how the lake is formed and what it's used for then we want and walked around it. Some of the lake was partly frozen and some walked on the lake while most walked around it was a pretty cool experience

Our visit to the Ice Castle

Today we visited the ice castle! It was a very interesting experience. We got a bus and drove out to the ice castle located on the frozen Yellowkinfe bay. When we got to the castle the first thing that caught out attention besides(besides the castle of course), was the ice sculptures which were very well crafted. The guide gave us a little history of the castle and the previous castles, the coolest thing i thought was that it was a non-profit organization, so they did it because they wanted to, so you could tell they all just had a passion for this sort of thing. When we got in we got to an area where they was multiple doors and then you couldn't wait to explore all the rooms. There was a very open room with tables and a little hot chocolate, coffee bar, and even a stage. our guide told us that they have bands playing here for little parties and whatnot. Then he told us that several couples got married in here, which i thought was just awesome because how many couples can say that they have been married in an ice castle. In the back of the castle was a really creative, there was no roof, snow blocks to build inukshuks or whatever you want, fish designs carved into the walls, a big Neptune ice statue, but i think the main attraction to that room was the slide. It was about 20 feet in the air and along the wall and was pretty fun to mess around on. The ice castle was a very cool experience (no pun intended), and i suggest anyone to check it out if there in Yellowknife.
