Dog sledding & Visit to Giant Mine

We went dog sledding and we each got the chance to mush and sit in the sled. It was really cold but fun at the same time. We also went to Giant Mine where we learned about the dangerous and fatal toxin, arsenic trioxide. Underneath the mine sealed in 14 concrete chambers, the poison poses a potentially catastrophic threat to the human race. We discussed how NWT's government is going to deal with this problem, and how they're going to dismantle and remove the contaminated site without damaging or harming the ecosystem or population.
