UCCS 30th Anniversary
In 1990, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs became a full member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II. The Mountain Lions are celebrating their 30th anniversary as a NCAA Division II member in 2020-21.

Mountain Lion Field
Mountain Lion Field has been the home for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs softball team since 1990, but the facility has seen major renovations since 2005. The Mountain Lions have taken over what was formerly known as the Four Diamonds Sports Complex, and Mountain Lion Field is the only remaining field from the original complex.

Mountain Lion Stadium
The Mountain Lions began playing soccer at Mountain Lion Stadium in 1990. MLS has also been the home field for the women's lacrosse program since 2017.

Joy Blake Becomes Volleyball's All-Time Total Blocks Leader
Joy Blake (1989-92) becomes UCCS Volleyball's All-Time Total Blocks Leader after recording 140 blocks in 1992 to total 676 in her four-year career.

Softball Wins First Conference Regular Season Championship
Softball wins the Mile High Intercollegiate Softball League / RMAC Regular Season, recording the first conference regular season championship in program history.

RMAC Softball Coach of the Year
Jackie Coburn was the first person in the history of UCCS Athletics to receive an RMAC individual award. Coburn was named the 1994 RMAC Softball Coach of the Year.

Leslie McKenzie Becomes Volleyball's All-Time Assists Leader
Leslie McKenzie (1991-94) becomes UCCS Volleyball's All-Time Assists Leader by surpassing Robyn Rodriguez (1,605) with 2,570 assists after recording 1,327 in the 1994 season. As the all-time assists leader, McKenzie recorded 3,858 in her four-year career.

Melissa Clark Becomes Volleyball's All-Time Attacks Leader
Melissa Clark (1992-95) becomes UCCS Volleyball's All-Time Attacks Leader by surpassing Brenda Brown (2,528) with 3,337 attacks after recording 1,292 in the 1994 season. As the all-time attacks leader, Clark went on to record 4,432 in her four-year career.

Melissa Clark Becomes Volleyball's All-Time Kills Leader
Melissa Clark (1992-95) becomes UCCS Volleyball's All-Time Kills Leader by surpassing Brenda Brown (1,096) with 1,165 kills after recording 481 in the 1994 season. As the all-time kills leader, Clark went on to record 1,519 kills in her four-year career.

Greg Meyer Becomes Men's Soccer All-Time Saves Leader
Greg Meyer (1994-97) becomes UCCS Men's Soccer All-Time Saves Leader after surpassing Scott Eacker (183) with 184 saves after recording nine saves against Regis University. As the all-time saves leader, Meyer finished with 483 in his four-year career.

Eddie Dietz was named the RMAC Men's Soccer Coach of the Year after leading UCCS to an 11-6-3 record in 1996 (5-4-3 RMAC record).

Men's Soccer All-American - Greg Meyer
Greg Meyer became the first ever Mountain Lion to earn All-American honors. In 57 games at UCCS, he recorded a 1.43 GAA, a .834 saves percentage and 21 shutouts.

Kevin Noleen Becomes Men's Soccer All-Time Goal Leader
Kevin Noleen (1995, 1997-99) becomes UCCS Men's Soccer All-Time Goals leader by surpassing Dan Duryee (31) with his 32nd career goal against Metropolitan State University Denver as Noleen scores the game-winning goal to win 2-1. Noleen finished his career with 47 goals.

For the second straight season, a UCCS Mountain Lion was named the RMAC Softball Freshman of the Year. Kacy Larson earned the award in 1999, one year after Kelly Wagner was named 1998 Freshman of the Year.

Kevin Noleen (1995, 1997-99) becomes UCCS Men's Soccer All-Time Points leader after surpassing Dan Duryee (78) with 80 points after scoring two goals in a 3-2 win against Colorado State University Pueblo. As the all-time points leader, Noleen finished with 104 in his four-year career.

Rob Weber (1996-99) becomes UCCS Men's Soccer All-Time Games Played leader after surpassing teammate Kevin Noleen (77 games played) with 78 games played after playing against Fort Lewis. Weber finished his career with 80 games played.

Cross Country All-Americans - Trent Briney & Kira Claussen
Trent Briney and Kira Claussen became the first ever cross country All-Americans in men's and women's program history. Briney finished 11th at the national meet in 30:42.6 and Claussen placed 29th in 22:02.

Cross Country All-Americans - Sarah Vigil & Sarah Gray
Teammates Sarah Vigil and Sarah Gray became the second and third all-time women's cross country student-athletes to earn USTFCCCA All-America honors. Vigil finished the national championship race in 13th place (22:15.4) while Gray crossed the finish line in 22:59.2.
