Brookfield Properties, the owner of Zuccotti Park, tells protestors that they have to vacate so that the area can be cleaned. The NYPD and Mayors office reiterate these statements and adding to them, stating that the protestors may return but may not bring sleeping bags, tarps, or lye down.

A thousand person marched headed through New York's Time Square arriving at the US Army's recruiting center. The purpose of the march was to criticize the amount of money government spends overseas while many at home are suffering.

On the eve of a bus tour that sees the president making stops in North Carolina and Virginia he expressed support for the frustrations echoed by the Occupy Wall Street Movement.

Church and State

Caitlin Curran , a freelance journalist, was fired from NPR's radio WNYC for participating in the occupy protest. Curran was photographed holding a sign during the protest. Her boss at WNYC said that it is poor journalistic practice to be involved in an event she was covering.
