Begining of the Expedition

1st Battle
With 340 Spanish, 300 Indians, 1000 horses, 1000 slaves, six swivel guns, and tons of battle guns, Coronado encountered a Zuni tribe and defeated the tribe. He hurt himself, but established a base.

El Dorado Found!
Coronado finally found the El Dorado. He only discovered poor Indian villages of the Zuni tribe. He interrogated many Zunis and killed them if they didn't tell him where the gold was. Finally, he dismissed Fray Marcos de Niza as an outcast for not being a good scout.

An Indian scout named Turk told Coronado about a very rich kingdom in the west called Quivira. Coonado appoints him as lead scout and prepares to leave.

Quivira: Gloomy Reach
Coronado finally reached Quivira and discovered that there was no gold to be given. This Wichita tribe faced brutal treatment as many were murdered if they didn't tell where the gold was located.

Rio Grande Scouting Missions
Coronado and his men headed toward the Rio Grande. He gave scouting missions to his men who actually almost would have found golden California. Coronado planned to return to Mexico City at the beginning of spring in 1542.

Failed Return
Coronado went back to New Mexico as total failure. He was able to find great wonders like the Grand Canyon, Llano Estacado, and Palo Duro Canyon. He was made an object failure by Viceroy Mendoza, but resumed his job as the governor.

Coronado's Degeneration
Coronado was accused of atrocities against Indians during his expedition. He's on trial and lost his job as the Governor of Nueva Galicia. He regained a small post in New Mexico and lived in New Mexico till his death.
