As part of the Space Rce between The Soviet Union and the US, Working hastily, the Soviets launched their second satellite (Sputnik 2) with a living animal (Laika the dog) on board. But sadly after the lanch she died cause no plan was made to get her back home.

Piece Symbol created
The British artist Gerald Holtom , first started by drawing a circle with three lines inside, intending the design to be a symbol for the Direct Action Committee Against Nuclear War (DAC). Later when the sign migrated to the US it was used as a sign to help a peace movement making it a peacefull sign.

The Barbie doll was invented in 1959 by Ruth Handler (co-founder of Mattel) Whose own daughter was called Barbara. Barbie's job was teenage fashion doll. The Later in 1961 the Ken Doll was also introduced, named after Ruth's son.
