Liverpool kick off against Cardiff City in search of extending their record League Cup haul to 8 victories.
Glen Johnson sends out an early warning to Cardiff and sees his swinging shot from the edge of the left hand side of the penalty box, beat Heaton in the Cardiff goal, only to see it come back off the underside of the bar.
Martin Skrtel gets caught playing the Cardiff front line onside and a clever ball from Miller sees Joe Mason keep his composure and slot the ball between Reina's legs to put the Bluebirds 1-0 up at Wembley.
The corner comes in and Luis Suarez sees his his header come back off the post. Martin Skrtel however is on hand to slot the ball in to the net to bring the Reds level.
Kenny Miller has a great chance to pinch it for Cardiff with minutes to go but fires over the bar with only Reina to beat.
With 90 minutes gone, the sides are locked at 1-1 after Martin Skrtel had cancelled out Mason's 19th minute strike for Cardiff.
Bellamy surges forward and after a quick interchange with Kuyt, creates a little space on the edge of the bar but fires just over the top.
The Flying Ducthman finds the net after only being on the pitch for 5 minutes after replacing Andy Carroll. His initial wayward short is blocked back to him and his quick reaction leaves Heaton with no chance at his near post.
The Dutchman is amongst the drama again. A long throw into the Liverpool penalty box causes chaos and results in a corner for Cardiff. Anthony Gerrard gets his head to the inswinging delivery only to see Kuyt head it off the line.
With two minutes to go of extra time, Cardiff City get a second corner in quick succession. Ben Turner forces the ball over the line at the backpost to drag Cardiff level.
